Before you start this unit, take this simple quiz to find out how much you really know about Google Docs, Drive and some standard computer shortcut keys.
Activities
- Logon to the class computer, open Chrome, login to Chrome and find Google Classroom.
- Join the Google Classroom for your class. Your teacher will give you the access code.
- You should now take this assessment test to find check your understanding of computer basics
- Review your responses to the quiz and post a comment on the classroom stream under the topic "Target" that outlines a target that you want to achieve e.g. I will use the shortcut keys more regularly CTRL+A, CTRL+C and CTRL+V as this will save me time.
- To improve your understanding and use of computers, you will be working through a self-learning course called Digital Literacy. You will learn about computer basics, The internet, cloud services and the World Wide Web (WWW). Additionally you will cover productivity programs, computer security and managing your digital lifestyle.
